Ella Cuda

Ella loves to fuse her knowledge of traditional dance technique, breath inspired movement and yoga to create an invigorating and smooth flow to each style of class she offers. Ella received her BFA in Dance from The University of the Arts in 2015; her love of moving and years in dance class inspired her to pursue her Barre teacher training certification with Kelly Love. On the contrary, she discovered yoga’s physical and mental healing capacity after sustaining an injury while dancing years ago; since her initial introduction to the practice her passion for yoga has flourished. Ella graduated from Beyond Asana RYS, completing 200 hours of Vinyasa study, as well as the 48- Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Intensive with Brittany Policastro and a Postpartum Teacher Training Certification with Lara Kohn Thompson.
All forms of movement allow Ella to “let go” of limiting inhibitions; she strives to offer a class that allows others to also release into their potential and enjoy their physical practice in a safe and supportive environment. She believes in sustainable growth (on and off the mat) and strives for students to discover a unique, individual movement style that will continue to serve them far into their future. She feels drawn to working with a broad population, from those who have never stepped foot on a yoga mat or into a Barre class, to expecting mothers, families, and the experienced mind-body practitioner.
Ella recently assisted for The Art of Yoga Project pilot program in west Philadelphia, a non-profit organization that uses art, yoga, and journaling for early intervention to help at-risk and sexually exploited girls prepare for a positive future. She is an Eat Breathe Thrive- Yoga for Eating Disorders certified Thrive Tribe facilitator.
Ella leads the Prenatal Fitness Program and offers personal postpartum evaluations to clients, ensuring a smooth transition from birth back into a safe physical fitness practice. She organizes the Karma Yoga Classes at the studio, establishing partnerships with other businesses in the community to create events to benefit organizations in Philly and other areas. You can find Ella assisting with general studio management from ensuring emails are answered to posting photos to social media and keeping the studio running smoothly.
She splits her time between her home in South Carolina and Philadelphia, equally missing each when away.  She is an avid tea enthusiast, nature lover and devoted sister.

Meredith Kresch

Meredith is a norther Jersey transplant who began dancing almost as soon as she started walking.  She spent of most her childhood studying ballet, jazz, musical theater, and hip-hop and playing  sports.  While in college she was a member the Straight Hip Hop Dance Crew.  During her college years, Meredith began performing with Tom Foolery Theater in north Jersey.  She was also their choreographer from 2009-2013.   In 2011 Meredith became Zumba certified and began teaching  classes.  When moving to Philadelphia, Meredith became involved with the Broadway Theater of Pitman as a performer and choreographer as well.
Meredith currently teacher Zumba at Thrive Pilates!  Zumba is a dance style cardio fitness class which pulls from Latin dances, like salsa, cumbia, and reggaeton, and hip-hop.  
Outside of dance, Meredith is an itinerant mainstream teacher of the deaf with Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech. She works with students with hearing loss ages 3-21 throughout south Jersey and Philly.  Meredith has a B.S in communication disorders from the University of Massachusetts and an MA in Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from Hunter College.

Devon Lutz

Devon is a certified Move It Barre instructor and she is thrilled to be teaching at PPYogaThrive. Devon found barre in her senior year of college and immediately fell in love. She trained in her hometown of Lancaster, PA with Marie Cleaves-Rothacker. Devon is a recent graduate of James Madison University (JMU) where she studied dance and media arts and design. Devon was a member of the Virginia Repertory Dance Company at JMU where she had the opportunity to perform in Washington DC, Richmond, and New York City. She has also studied contemporary dance at the American Dance Festival and in London, England.
Sculpt, strengthen and stretch in this ballet barre inspired class. You'll work your abs, arms, butt and thighs and leave feeling flexible, strong, balanced and invigorated.
